Why is a Scrum Master important?
A Scrum Master is responsible for the overall facilitation of the agile development team.
The general benefit expected from having a scrum master on a team is providing a self-organizing team with ongoing access to someone who has used agile, and scrum in particular in another setting and can help the team figure out the best way to apply it in their situation.
Another expected benefit is that the scrum master is someone that can address distractions, disruptions, and obstacles so that the remainder of the team is free to focus on the work of producing output that will generate the desired outcome.
How Can I Become a Scrum Master?
Here’s an overview of how to become a scrum master in 4 simple steps:
1. Complete Our Exam Preparation Course
Our Scrum Master Course has been designed to help learners enhance their skills, improve teamwork and increase productivity in the area of Agile/Scrum Project Management. We will investigate Vision Creation, the use of the Product Backlog, Backlog Formatting Techniques, Story Point Estimation and how to use this to formulate a release plan.
2. Study Period and PSM™ Application
We advise at least 2-3 weeks of study and exam practice following your training. During the course, we will give you course materials and recommended reading that will help you to prepare for the Exam.
You won’t face anything extraordinary during your examination – it typically focuses on key Scrum principles and practices (project management, sprints, release planning, team building, progress reporting, scalability, etc.)
You may also read additional Scrum materials and articles or watch useful videos – they will help you ensure you’re fully prepared to pass the exam.
