You’ll play a key role in managing and optimising a sales process that has delivered 17% annual revenue increases over the past three years. Working closely with our founder, you'll refine our approach, mentor a growing team, and expand our reach within the UK and Irish markets.
You'll have the autonomy to improve processes, develop your team, and leverage the support of over 40 experienced freelance trainers and a loyal client base of more than 10,000 professionals. Your influence will directly enhance our already strong 90% repeat-and-referral rate.
The Role: Business Development Manager
◉ Manage and enhance the existing sales and business development processes
◉ Oversee and guide the sales team, setting clear goals, KPIs, and providing regular mentorship
◉ Lead improvements to CRM and sales reporting practices for better transparency and results
◉ Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients across SMEs, corporates, and public sectors
◉ Identify strategic partnership and tender opportunities to expand our market presence
◉ Collaborate with leadership to refine pricing strategies, service offerings, and promotional activities
◉ Coordinate with marketing teams to align campaigns and sales initiatives effectively
◉ Represent DCM professionally at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
◉ Regularly assess market and competitor trends to inform strategic planning
◉ Continuously gather client feedback to refine service offerings and enhance client satisfaction
Requirements
◉ Minimum 5 years’ experience managing sales or business development teams
◉ Proven success in developing and improving sales processes and strategies
◉ Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills
◉ Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
◉ Expertise in CRM platforms for pipeline management and forecasting
◉ Strategic, results-oriented mindset with an emphasis on team success
◉ Comfortable in dynamic, growth-focused environments
◉ Prior experience or knowledge of the training/L&D sector advantageous but not mandatory
Education & Experience
◉ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline
◉ Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in sales, leadership, or management are beneficial
◉ Experience managing and mentoring small to medium-sized teams
◉ Background in professional training, consultancy, or similar service-based industries
Compensation
