How can the Management training help my organisation?

Is the course suitable for managers in small organisations?
Effective team and people management have nothing to do with the size of the business or organisation. It is about strong communication within the company, between every team member and department, that begins with respect.
Our QQI Effective People Management course will give your learners the key management and leadership skills and tools that will aid them in becoming the most effective managers, supervisors and team leaders that they can be, regardless of the size of the business.
Can the training be split over a number of weeks/months?
The QQI Effective People Management course is delivered over three full days. The course would typically run over three consecutive days but, within reason, we can run the course in a way that suits the needs of your business. From three individual days over a series of weeks to shorter sessions groups over a number of weeks, our Learning Services Advisors can help find a solution and schedule that works for you.
While there are pros and cons to both the single-day approach and the four consecutive day approach, running the course over four day consecutive days allows your delegates to build on the previous days' learning and we find that this can be very beneficial to their learning.
If your operational needs don’t allow for this or if you simply can’t schedule everyone away from their workspace for three consecutive days, DCM Learning can work with you to find a schedule that works for you. We do recommend when taking this staggered approach that the intervals between training are no more than one week long to make sure the training is most effective.
Does the course look at Team Profiling?
One of the main focuses of our QQI Effective People Management course is team profiling. As an aware and active manager, supervisor or team leader, it is vital to engage with and understand all of the personality characteristics and behaviours of your team.
Learners will be introduced to the Belbin model, as well as many other tools and methods of understanding the different personalities which may up their teams. By using these different tools & methodologies, learners have a greater self-understanding of their strengths, leading to more effective communication between team members and managers. Great teams can be put together, existing teams can be understood and improved, and everyone can feel that they are making a difference in the workplace.
With these skills, you & your managers will understand what sort of people and personalities are suited to what roles, ensuring that there is a good balance of skills within the team and that everyone you are managing will be in a role that’s most effective and in which they are happiest.
