Here’s an overview of how to become a Product Owner in 4 simple steps:
1. Attend Our 2-Day Exam Preparation Course
This 2-Day Course covers all of the key Scrum principles, how to formulate a product vision, maintain the product backlog and prioritise. Creating a viable release plan and how to work with the Scrum Master and Development Team.
The two-day PSPO Exam Preparation course takes learners through the terminology, practices, and principles that will enable candidates to successfully undertake the PSPO I Assessment through Scrum.org.
2. Study Period and PSPO™ Application
We advise at least 6 weeks of study and exam practice following your training. During the course, we will give you course materials and recommended reading that will help you to prepare for the Exam.
3. Schedule and Sit Your Exam
Pay the $200 Exam fee through Scrum.org and attempt the online Exam.

- Passing score: 85%
- Time Limit: 60 minutes
- Number of Questions: 80
- Format: multiple choice
- Language: English only
4. Achieve your PSPO™ Credential
Once you pass the PSPO I assessment you will receive the industry-recognized “PSPOI” certification, along with a PSPO I logo that you can use to identify your achievement. In addition, your name will be listed on Scrum.org
