I'm new to Project Management. Which course should I choose?
There are 3 Project Management courses someone with little or no project management experience can choose from:
1. PRINCE2
This is an in-depth detailed course, which for someone starting off in project management may find quite challenging. PRINCE2 is a structured project management method and practitioner certification programme. PRINCE2 emphasises dividing projects into manageable and controllable stages. It is adopted in many countries worldwide, including the UK, Western European countries, and Australia.
2. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
If you are looking to gain PMI certification, the CAPM® certification may be your first step in becoming an experienced, accredited Project Manager. Having the certification will be of great benefit in your first Project Management role within your existing organisation or outside. The course is designed to give learners the skills that are required to work effectively while managing or overseeing projects in the workplace. This course has been designed for new project managers or project managers with less than 3 years f experience. Learners will gain an understanding of the fundamental knowledge and processes of project management.
3. QQI Level 6 Project Management
This course focuses on exploring the principles of successful project management. Delegates will be introduced to a number of effective tools and techniques that will allow them to become more confident and effective in managing a project. This course is designed for people who are relatively new to Project Management. If you have between 0 - 3 years of experience this course is perfect for you.
