Which Certification is Right for Me?
There is a range of different Project Management courses to choose from.
The best choice is the right fit for you, once you have considered your level of knowledge, experience and what you want from your career.
An entry-level certification in Project Management to consider is the QQI Level 6 Project Management Award. You do not need to meet and any pre-requisites to attend this course and it is generally constructed for those with little or no experience or knowledge.
Aside from the QQI Project Management course, you have a choice of two other certifications: PRINCE2 and PMP (Project Management Professional).
The advantage of PRINCE2 is that, again, you don't need to meet any prerequisites and you can be certified in one week by going through the foundation and then also the practitioner certifications which is industry recognised and highly recognised in the UK in particular.
PMP requires an extensive amount of requisite although it is seen as the top tier qualification a Project Manager can obtain. You must have 7,500 hours as a Project Manager experience of 4,500 hours experience if you have a 4-year degree to support it and complete a famously difficult exam at the end of the course.
