How can I get the PSM Certification?
In order to gain your PSM 1 Scrum Master certification, you must complete an online exam through Scrum.org. This exam takes one hour and consists of 80 questions, which are a mix of multiple-choice, multiple-answer and true/ false questions. To achieve your PSM 1 Scrum Master certification, you need to achieve a result of 85% or more.
How can I pass the Exam the first time?
We advise at least 6 weeks of study and exam practice following your training. During the course, we will give you course materials and recommended reading that will help you to prepare for the Exam.
You won’t face anything extraordinary during your examination – it typically focuses on key Scrum principles and practices (project management, sprints, release planning, team building, progress reporting, scalability, etc.)
You may also read additional Scrum materials and articles or watch useful videos – they will help you ensure you’re fully prepared to pass the exam.
When should I take the PSM Exam?
You can complete the exam whenever you feel fully prepared to do so. There is a lot of material covered during the course, so you'll leave with a lot of reading and sample exam questions.
Do I need to renew the PSM certification?
Is the exam fee included in the course fee?
Short answer: No. We provide you with the training and when you feel ready, you log on to Scrum.org and buy your assessment password.
The PSM™ 1 Professional Scrum Master Assessment fee is $150 and is payable directly to Scrum.org. The password for the exam only allows you one attempt at the exam, so we'd recommend making sure you're as prepared as possible before attempting the exam.
