Why did you choose to do this course?
I always try to add new skills to my collection. The ability to complete the courses online made it more practical for my lifestyle.
Why choose DCM?
I chose DCM due to the fact that the online learning was flexible, so I could complete the course in my own time, after work or during the weekend. Furthermore, many of the courses come with QQI accreditation, thus they are standardised and recognised internationally.
How did you find the course?
I completed the QQI Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course. The course was presented professionally and nothing was subpar. The course materials and online platforms were clear and concise and the designated DCM Learning Services Advisor was always available to answer any queries. I found the lecturers to be experts of the course content who were always helpful and responded to emails quicker than I expected. The course layout and all assignments were explained in detail at the outset so there was no ambiguity as to what was needed over the coming weeks and months.
Any advice you would give to new students?
My advice to a new learner would be to stick to a routine when completing the course and if you have any concerns or queries don't hesitate to reach out to any of the DCM staff as they are a fantastic asset and are always helpful.
Since completing the course, what have you done or how has your career progressed?
Since completing the course I have incorporated more and more of the lean six sigma processes into my day to day work life. Using the techniques I learned on the course I have improved my productivity and efficiency across all projects I am involved in and where I can I pass on this information to help others.
