Why did you choose to do this course?
I wanted to build on the skills I feel I'll need in the future. During Covid, I've taken stock of where I want to be professionally in a few years time, and decided upskilling is a way of moving towards this.
Why choose DCM?
DCM has an excellent reputation for training, and a great website and set of resources that complement their courses.
How did you find the course?
My course was recommended by my employer, and after reading the course brochure and other materials on the website, I decided the course was right for me.
Any advice you would give to new students?
Pace yourself over the timeframe of the course. I made a timetable for the modules over the 12 weeks of my course and mostly stuck to it. I found this pacing allowed me to get the most out of the course, and to do extra reading as well. This pacing put me in a good position for my assignments, and so I feel I've retained a lot of the learnings from the course.
Since completing the course, what have you done or how has your career progressed?
I definitely feel my confidence has grown with regard to people management skills, and since completing the course I've been able to put myself forward for team lead roles and responsibilities.
