Why did you choose to do this course?
I have been overseeing Continuous Improvement projects for a large International Hotel company for several years so when I decided to set up my own business called Agility Hospitality supporting the Irish Hospitality and Tourism Sector with their own continuous improvement journey, I wanted to gain QQI Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Why choose DCM?
I researched several training providers and I choose DCM as I was able to do the course online via a live webinar where I could interact with the Trainer. I also liked the quality of the support materials provided and that I could access recordings of the modules online after the course.
How did you find the course?
The course was great, the structure was well organised and Padraig McCabe the Trainer was excellent, he used lots of real-life examples which made it easy to understand some of the more complex elements and he was happy to go back over some parts if anyone needed further explanation.
Any advice you would give to new students?
I have recommended this course to several colleagues and some of them have participated in subsequent modules achieving their LSS Green Belt Certification also. I advised them to ask plenty of questions during the live sessions, use the online recordings after the event and allocate some dedicated time to complete the 2 x assessments as they do require quite a bit of work.
Since completing the course, what have you done or how has your career progressed?
I was fortunate to have achieved a distinction on the course which has given me another layer of competence and confidence when supporting Hospitality businesses to adopt a continuous improvement mindset. I went on to complete a Data Analytics course which has really complimented the learnings I received on the LSS Green Belt course.
