There are two components to the Special Purpose Award in Training & Development:
- Training Delivery & Evaluation
- Training Needs Identification and Design
Training Delivery & Evaluation
Our Training Delivery & Evaluation course has been designed to help our learners to enhance their existing skills and prepare you to deliver training sessions in a dynamic and thought-provoking way across a wide variety of industries. The training covers the nature of training, improving presentations and training skills, the trainer’s role, individual learning styles and best practice methods for evaluating training sessions.
Training Needs Identification and Design
The Training Needs Identification and Design course aims to equip learners with the tools to identify gaps in learning within an organisation or on an individual basis by conducting Training Needs Analyses and to then be able to design a training plan for their learners based on this.
This component is aimed towards those working in an HR or Learning & Development role rather than those hoping to deliver training courses.
Do I need to have the Special Purpose award to deliver training courses?
You don’t have to have completed both components of the Special Purpose Award before you can begin delivering your training courses. The Training Delivery & Evaluation module will give you the skills you need to design & effectively deliver your training courses across a wide variety of industries and topics.
For example, most ETBs ( Education & Training Boards) only require their trainers to have the Training Delivery & Evaluation certification to deliver courses on their behalf.
Each component can be completed as a stand-alone course and are both very well regarded, both nationally and internationally.
