How to become an accredited Fire Warden Instructor?
In order to deliver Fire Warden & Fire Safety training courses, you must be a qualified Fire Warden Instructor. By gaining this qualification, you will demonstrate that you have the skills & confidence to deliver Fire Warden training to meet the requirements of both the 1981 Fire Services Act and Regulation 9 of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.
You will need to gain two qualifications in order to deliver Fire Warden courses; a training qualification such as our QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer award and an accredited Fire Warden Instructor course.
Our QQI Train the Trainer course will give you all the knowledge and skills to effectively design and deliver your training courses, as well as ensuring that you feel confident in your ability.
This 4-day training covers the nature of training, improving presentations and training skills, the trainer’s role, individual learning styles and best practice methods for evaluating training sessions.
During the Fire Warden Instructor course you will learn how to identify possible fire hazards in the workplace, advise staff on measures to reduce the risk of fire occurring, and on action to take in the event of an emergency, identify if premises are equipped with appropriate fire alarms, detectors, emergency lighting and fire fighting equipment and how to run your own Fire Warden course.
