Safe Pass is a safety awareness training programme for construction workers. It is a one-day course that allows them to work on construction sites without being a risk to themselves or others. This is a legal requirement and as such, the demand for Safe Pass course instructors is high.
In order to deliver Safe Pass training courses, you must be an accredited trainer with Solas. Applicants must hold and provide evidence of the following:

A current and SOLAS Safe Pass Card

Training Qualification (QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer)

Construction Qualification (Craft or Professional Construction qualification)

Health & Safety Qualification (Level 7 Certificate or Diploma)
In addition, to the above requirements applicants, must also demonstrate that they meet the eligibility criteria of one of the following categories:
1. Have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable relevant on-site construction experience within the last 6 years.
2. Be a construction manager/supervisor within a minimum of 3 years of verifiable relevant on-site construction experience within the last 6 years.
3. Be a construction safety representative with a minimum of 3 years of verifiable relevant on-site construction experience in the last 6 years.
You must provide a minimum of three years, within the past 6 years, of verifiable and relevant on-site construction experience.
Our QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer course is a Solas recognised training qualification and will be the first step to achieving your goal of delivering these in-demand courses.
