Why does it take so long to issue my QQI certificate?
On completion of the course, there are two essay-based questions which you must complete, you will then have 6 weeks after the course ends to complete these. Once the assignments are submitted they are marked, internally by DCM, we will give you a provisional result (while we are preparing your certificate). You should have your provisional results within two months.
If you need proof of completion of this course for a job interview, we can provide this to you in the form of a letter detailing that you attended our course, submitted the assessments, and confirming your provisional results. Your assessment and markings are then verified by QQI and you will receive your certificate within 3/4 months.
QQI can only verify our internal markings at certain times during the year so it is vital the learner meets the deadlines set to prevent any further delay in receiving the QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer.

There are 3 assessments as part of the course, a skills demonstration, a learner record and two essay-based assessments.
The skills demo happens on the last day and then you have 6 weeks after the course to submit the assignments.
The skills demo is a short 10-12 minute presentation on a topic of your choice. It does not necessarily have to be on a topic in which you will be delivering training in the future. This is then video recorded for assessment.
The two essay-based questions which you must also complete and submit 6 weeks after the course ends:
1. The first essay questions is a reflective learner record, this consists of the learner recording their thoughts on what they have learned, and any additional research they have conducted to further their understanding
2. The second assessment is an essay based on training models, this question will be set by the trainer and this will be discussed with you in-depth with the trainer during the course.
We do find that if you participate in the course and conduct your own research the assessments prove to not be too difficult, we are also available to answer any questions you may have while completing the assessments.
The course itself is very interactive throughout the week you will participate in a number of group activities and role-plays to help put the theory discussed into context.
